The traditional Christmas ceremony in which the lights of the Avila Cross are switched on, was held this year in the Baseball Stadium of the University, just before the beginning of the game between the Lara Cardinals and the La Guaira Sharks. Alexis Sosa, who won the drawing contest among the children of EDC workers, was in charge of switching on the lights in the Cross.
